I am getting worried!

#1 Postby beachbum_al » Sun Aug 28, 2005 5:03 pm

It is 5:01pm in Fairhope and I am getting worried. My husband is off helping everyone else and our house is still not boarded up. I have done all I can and I am exhausted. What if it turns and we don't get everything done? I know I am having an anxiety attack right now. And my girls...I don't know if it is the drop in pressure (if any yet here) but they have been wild. Just WILD!

Hey BBA, I'm right across the bay from you in west Mobile. We'll be ok. Just have faith. Gonna be a rough, long next 24-36 hours for many of us along the coast

If it stays on track, we'll be fine.

Are you going to ride it out in Fairhope or are you going to move in land some???? I know Fairhope is right there on the bay and you might be a bit safer inland. I know my friends there have moved inland.
I am sure hubbie will get it all done before hand. Wish there was something I could do to help you out. This kind of thing really sets the kids off. It is like our own adrenaline rush. Praying for you safety.

Just remember to have all your supplies and your family in a safe room (interior, away from windows) if things pick up.

I don't think it's gonna turn enough to be really bad... it's not going to be a picnic either, but I think surge is going to be much worse than the wind.
