I'm intensely uncomfortable with that statemnt.

The superdome could be torn apart by Cat 4/5 winds. Not to mention the surge coming in.

One would think that the evacuees would be placed above the ground level, but I really don't beleive that structure could come close to surviving strong cat-4 or cat-5 winds. If NOLA officials believe that, then they are living in a state of serious denial.

Yep!

Think of the insurance law suits....people flee there homes to hurricane proof governement building that is decimated by the hurricane....

Thats why there is NO MADATORY EVAC YET Law says YOU order YOU(CITY) MUST provide a shelter! nola has NO shelters to withstand this and even the super dome or high rises would be w/o power for weeks!
