This is absolutely unbelievable!! I did NOT expect this. 30 mph in 3 hours??? Kudos to those who called for the Cat 4 tonight!!.... I'm eating crow because I just didn't see it. Someone said the winds would catch up to the pressure, guess he was right.

There's this evil "eclipse period" this time of year during which we get no satellite pics of our favorite hurricane hot spots. I THINK it's got something to do with the placement of the earth in relation go the sun and the satellite, but I am not sure really. Either way, we should get some new images shortly.
