Anybody remember the thread...

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Never thought it would be possible THIS YEAR.

I remember quite a while ago Dr. Bob Sheets and local Met Bryan Norcross discussing the Miami, New Orleans connection. I don't recall the details, but I am sure it's out there somewhere.

actually, there was a poster here about a week ago, forgot about his name. I think it started with an 'e', but he/she predicted that this TD 10 would grow into a monster and mentioned Florida and Gulf being the target, and everyone scoffed at him(me included). I think he got banned, but now he's probably laughing at us. I got to hand it to him, he was right. I didn't think TD 10 had a chance of being anything more than a strong tropical storm or weak hurricane at best and ALOT of other people on here felt the same way.

He wasn't anywhere near right. He kept making outlandish claims that ex-TD 10 would bomb into a hurricane overnight when it didn't even have a closed circulation, that it was clear it was going to be a major hurricane hitting FL (which didn't happen), etc.

That guy was a troll who never posted his forecasts with a disclaimer or without logical evidence to back his claims up. He constantly started or fanned flame wars. And after his claim that TD 10 would be a monster he started saying that it was done. Now what kind of a forecaster would fluctuate like that all of a sudden???
