I left for Baton Rouge at 3am and spent about 1 hr down there. I thought I would see an increase in traffic(People coming west from NOLA) as I went east on I-10. Very little traffic. I'm sure it will be a massive gridlock come tomorrow.

'The Lord Helps Those Who Help Themselves' may be a good reply.

Of course, she is also in the hands of the First Responders when she is in danger. And she puts those people in harm's way.

Good luck to you....I know it is difficult with older people.

Well, I think the chance ot hit hitting directly over New Orleans is pretty small this far out. I think the chance of it hitting any specific city in the path this far out is pretty small. With the track shifting east, New Orleans may be out of immediate danger, at least of the center passing over it.

The track is really not shifting east. The 12z tropicals saw a little bit of movemennt, but 12z GFS and now GFDL are back with direct hits on NOLA. The 18z tropicals are very likely to follow suit.
