New Orleans!!!
Seems to be taking a more casual approach than usual!!! Even WWL 87AM Radio Station was airing the Don Dubic Fishing show this morning!!!

I'm coming around to thinking landfall will be a tad east of here but that we'll still probably be in the thick of things. But you have to figure this is a pretty surreal event for everyone. It's not every day you've got a potential Cat 4/5 bearing down with some uncertainties. Like I said in 57's thread, how they play it will determine the reaction. Btw, it's a perfect day today to get done what needs to get done. THere's a gentle breeze and milkyish blue skies.

Brent NOLA didnt Evacuate! for Dennis Remember? people was bashing the NHC for NOT issuing Warnings for NOLA...Turns out the were NOT needed and NHC was right! The turn Hppened Just as NHC forecasted...This reminds me of the Georges situation of 1998 (not the track )

My God ... I really can't understand the attitude. So what if there's a probability that it misses east or west or whatever? If you were standing in a room, and you knew for a fact that sometime real soon bullets would be flying though that room, but there's only a 20% chance you'll be hit, would you stay in the room or would you go out the door? I mean really!

As I recall, a track just a tad East of New Orleans is one of the worst case scenarios. That would allow the winds wrapping around the West side of the eye from the North to push water out of Lake Ponchartrain and into the city.
