I didn't want to start a new thread. Since WWL 870AM in NO doesn't stream, you can listen to WJBO 1150am out of BR. They're talking about the hurricane all morning. http://www.wjbo.com

Yes, fascinating talk about Thunderbirds and some kind of straps for cars.
Kind of reminds me of the old days where we did not have cable or internet and they would put a teaser on the local TV networks around 9 PM; "Huge storm headed our way...details at 11 PM".

It will turn!
Looks like this one will hit and teach everyone a lesson, the ones who are still here.
Nope, people I know are treating today just like an ordinary Saturday.

Hmm, I saw the title to this thread and just laughed. That is the most ridiculous statement I've heard this season, but that's what the press has to do right now. I noticed the national news won't even show the track making landfall, because then it would go to the point after running over NO. Politics can only be taken so far, and we have reached the limit.

Sorry, but I can't control their programming.

TWC, MSNBC, and WFTV locally have shown the track. Though the complacenty sounds insane, Camille like?WindRunner wrote:Hmm, I saw the title to this thread and just laughed. My sister is here and she is completely convinced it will not hit here. I try to tell her otherwise but she is stubborn.

Governor of Louisianna spoke at press conference. TWC was there providing footage. They are evacuating several of the Parishes making them mandatory one is voluntary. The looks on their faces were extremely somber. Some of the guys looked like they were going to cry. Looks like they are finally taking this seriously.
