My worst case would be Juan on steriods. Most people in southeastern La. are worried more about water damage than wind damage but a stalled out Cat 3. Can you image Isodore or a Mitch parking themselves off the coast for a day or two. We would look like the ants do in a flood, crawling on top of each other, trying to stay alive.
As stated earlier Juan produced the highest tides and the only place that had winds near hurricane force were off shore, I'm not sure what N.O. got wind wise but up here if it gusted to 25 I'd be surprised.(@ 40 miles northwest)
