Calling all Alabamians

So what is it like where you live right now? The lines at the gas stations were starting to fill up as I drove home from Robertsdale today. When I got in Fairhope the station on Section and Gayfer had lines. I haven't been in the store yet. Guess I will find out tomorrow. We got to go to Orange Beach and board up two of our relatives condos.

No alerts yet. I am curious to see what our local stations will say at 5pm.

I, too, will be watching the 5PM local news to hear what they're saying. I didn't notice any lines at gas stations on my drive home from school in far West Mobile to the Hillcrest Rd. area. In fact, at school, a lot of the other teachers had no idea there was even a storm in the Gulf!
So, when last I was out about an hour to hour and a half ago, things didn't seem to hectic here. We'll see what it's like tonight after folks get home and see the news. We're going out tonight-- a night out!-- so we'll see if things become busier.

One thing's for sure this time; I'm going to forage for food early. Hoping for the best, preparing for the worst. I've got a bad feeling about this one. It might pass us by, but somebody's going to get hammered.

I have a bad feeling myself about this one. We had Ivan, we almost had Dennis, but we have been spared so many times. It could had been worse during those. I am hoping for the best and preparing for the worse myself. Right now I am washing clothes and trying to pack an emergency bag for us. With three girls you can only imagine. I think we will know more tomorrow.
