Fellow Pensacolians, here we go again friends and family...

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

How many canes must we endure? Since Ivan took almost everything I own, i have been a full time motorhome person. So i can run, but I feel for my comrades who must remain or clean up their lives again and again. There is nothing like the excitement, anticipation, misery and heartbreak that comes with a storm. It almost becomes a drug, we know it is horrible but the feel of mother natures fury is a high of its own :(

Florida MIGHT NOT be where Katrina makes her 2nd landfall! Florida NEEDS to continue to watch this system but the Forcasted track now brings it into the Miss. AL Boarder!

And P'cola will still be on the east side of this witch. The gas stations are already emptied. Traffic is unreal. The stores are running out of everything. Jobs are being threated. It just never ends. Oh joy.

Fort Walton Beach has backed up lines at the gas stations and the grocery stores are maddening. I did our grocery shopping and filled the car and gas cans this morning. The only thing left is boarding the windows. Hubby is finally talking about installing hurricane shutters, maybe something good will come of this after all.

If this one hits the Pensacola area I may cancel my membership to storm2k.org to change my luck.

I guess there is no chance of this one becoming a fish or going west to Texas?

Me too ivanhater, I only had to wait like 15 minutes though. Also I was just in Office Depot by Walmart on 29, they are boarded up.

Pensacola becomes a crazy place when these storms approach. All I can hope for now is that the track will shift way to our west, but then I feel guilty for wishing misery on anyone else. All I know is that I am so very tired of this.

Mobile is starting to move also. Gas stations at 5:00 this afternoon and since have had long lines. My wife just got back from 2 Lowes and a Home Depot and people are starting to worry now. They were all very crowded

:( I can't even begin to imagine how you all must feel. If it were me, the guys with the straightjacket would have already picked me up and taken me to somewhere fenced with nice lush lawn only stared upon by inmates from their rubber rooms! How much, indeed? My prayers go out to everyone who has already been hit and knocked down repeatedly each time you try to get back up! Please be safe!!

So far everything is still quiet in SE La, however, if the track shifts again tonight or tomorrow and state evacuation plans go into affect, I predict mass hysteria over the weekend.
