Unbelievable Shift???

This is an incredible shift of nearly 210 miles west. Very unsual for the NHC to shift a path that much. Apal. went from ground 0 to the eastern edge of the Cone.!!!!! This is a major SHIFT!!!!!!!!!

I'm surprised the NHC shifted that far to the left. I expected more of a gradual shift in the cone based on the model guidance.

Knowing the models, they will shift again at 0z.

I didn't see it, but Stewart's 5 pm discussion mentioned Cat 4 before landfall.

When was the last time we had such model consensus three days out on the doomsday new orleans scenario? were models ever this resolute with ivan (before they shifted back east to pensacola?)

Thanks Jason. I am still at work and don't have time to search. Not liking the trend for anyone!!! Of course I didn't like the earliler progs much either since they had my mom in the bullseye. I guess I am just hard to please!! :roll: :roll: :roll: Why can't she just go poof??? :D :D :D

Starting to think this could Louisiana's "big one". Highs near 100 this weekend, offshore waters are absolutely boiling, not good, not good at all....

Also the further west it goes, the more very warm water it has to work with. Is N.O. in serious danger?

I'd say this is a SERIOUS threat for N.O. at this time. At least the NHC got their new track out so the local media can alert the public on the evening news.

N/P Vbhoutex. :D Don't we all wish it would go poof. I'm glad you're mom is out of the bullseye now although like you said, now it's bad for someone else.
