Can Katrina Create Her Own Environment?

Major canes have been known to do this and move where they want....could this happen here? :eek:

Agreed. Also look for wobbles...lots of wobbles and jogs...

Yes, I am an alarmist... but, Katrina is not North of me yet... With her strenghthening. I can't help but be concerned of her pulling a "Charley."

yes, I'm somewhat worried that a more N jog may happen quicker than expected given the weak steering currents now and a trough that will be approaching from the NW...although the chances of a Charley here are less...

Only if she was a lot bigger...and if she was in an extended weak steering flow. She in short...the answer is no...it's not the right setup.

Trofs ALWAYS win when they play hurricanes. Now...soemtimes trofs don't pick up hurricanes...but that is because they are too weak...not that the hurricane in too strong. Very strong hurricanes can modify their environment by adding heat to the ridge...and that may later the track a little...but as far as a major change...there better not be a digging trof because...again...

TROFS always WIN....especially if they are mdoerate to strong.
