My new TV :)

#1 Postby Josephine96 » Thu Aug 25, 2005 7:18 pm

Got my new TV from Wal Mart out of layaway this afternoon..

Pretty nice 20 inch, flat screen.. it's on the corner of my bedroom dresser.

Nice sound, great picture.. and I kinda like the flat screen look too

I was a little nervous.. because I have been told.. the #1 return at my Wal Mart is actually TV's.. but this 1 appears to work perfectly.. so no complaints here

and yes I'm watching Katrina

John - I would have been shocked if you hadn't bought your new TV at Wal-Mart! Just nodded my head as I read your topic....uh huh, that makes sense. LOL

Hope you got a discount!

You must have bought one like I did........

Hey Josephine96.....I wonder if you ever had a customer like this: They buy a 20 or larger TV and they try to put it in their car. You hafta take it out the box so it can fit. Every time I see one of our buggyboys come in with an empty box, I tell them "Big TV, little car, eh?" I see that a lot at Christmastime.

The car/box story reminded me of one: I was parked at Toys-R-Us, waiting to drive on over to the local mall and pick up wife from workplace. Out of toy store comes a worker with big playfort or swingset box on a flat cart. Woman is with the clerk as hubby pulls up to curb in MONSTER SUV. Hubby confidently pops the rear hatch. No matter how they flip and turn this box, it just won't fit. Finally, wife heads back in w. clerk, cart and box. The man just stood there, looking all around at what he had thought was a big cargo area. I was surprised, too, as the sheer size of the SUV made it LOOK like such a box would be no sweat.

I hear ya on those huge things....meanwhile, lots can fit inside my small Honda Civic hatchback. I've had all sorts of items back there, rocking chairs, lawnmowers, wheelbarrows, boxes for coffee/end tables to assemble.

I love my hatchback! And it gets 33 MPG too!!!!

Back to discussing Wal-Mart, TV's, trying to fit large purchases in a tiny trunk..LOL
