Lower FL Keys Katrina Impacts
I venture to say that by looking at the radar and intense banding I'm seeing the FL Keys are getting more effects from this storm than Palm Beach and parts of Broward County (northern)...

I know the Middle Keys have been under a tropical storm warning. According to the NWS website, they have sustained winds of 14 and gusts to 25. We have family who own a trailer north of Marathon (but they are not there now) . I'd hate to be in that trailer park tonight-- it was rocking during a thunderstorm!

In Key Largo here, I still have my power and DSL, can't believe from watching the radar how close the eye and that inner spiral band is to me. The southwestward motion really rotated this whole thing a lot farther this way than I expected.
Very little lightning, wind roaring. I hear things hitting the house and rain slashing on the roof.
I must have the only animal who is less concerned with the weather than his owner.
