Difference in Intensifying Weaker storm......
as opposed to a stronger storm that weakens as it makes landfall.......we're about to see the difference in Katrina. I know we've talked about it here before. Eye-wall, such as it is, will be travelling through an extremely populated area this time. Hope it comes ashore before it gets much stronger. I don't even want to think about what happens next in the GOM.

I, too, will be anxious to see how she holds together as she traverses the peninsula. I don't think she's going to lose much punch as she has been intensifying before landfall and will be going over the Everglades. Not much there to weaken her. However, if she moves very slow over land, that could make her weaken further. We'll see....
