Katrina is looking pretty damn good on infrared

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

I have to admit, she's looking pretty good on the IR right now......and really hasn't moved a whole lot. It looks like it's moving but then when I really examine it, the center appears to be held back.

it might look like Katrina is moving west when your looking at the western edge of the convection... however just looking at the eastern end of the convection it looks as if shes moving east... all that's happening is the convection is growing...

Looks like a hurricane to me. Must be one of the most healthy looking tropical storms for some time.

I think it is expanding into a strengthening pulse. It is too close to land to fully undergo the next phase...

hey, Scorpion, how come this didn't hit Palm Beach or north Broward like you kept insisting? hope this teaches you not to be so adament about predicting a track...especially when reality is telling you otherwise
