Since I've joined this board I've seen a lot of interesting tamtrums thrown and detailed paragraphs of long winded opinions ( this is one of them). If I may, I would just like to point out a couple of well known facts.
If you live anywhere on the Gulf Coast, Caribbean or East Coast you can expect at some point in your life you may be affected by a devastating tropical event. Simply put along these coast lines its a way of life for several months of the year, just like monsoon season in some parts of the world and blizzards in other parts of the world.
No matter where you live on this planet weather of some extreme will affect you at some point in time. Best you can do is suck it up, growup and recognize the danger, listen to the authorities and plan appropriately. After all, we do not have control over these things, but we can watch in awe the forces and power these events unleash on this Earth. What should be important foremost on this board is sharing of observations, knowledge of the tropics, and enthusiasm for extreme weather.
This post is not directed at anyone, just a few personal thoughts, I look forward to participating and sharing more as the weeks come and go during hurricane season.

And your response is EXACTLY the reason it's the one millionth time it's been posted(sorry - but how tiresome)
Matt, you bring this up every two day's. There are EIGHT HUNDRED people moving to Florida EVERYDAY. It can't be that bad.

Hey Ron, GREAT POINT (I used to live there myself and it's pretty awesome I think).
I wouldn't even waste my time man, I really don't know where they're all supposed to go. Nebraska?? Oh, I forgot, they have tornados. California?? Oh, they have earthquakes. It's a pointless argument. Natural disasters can and will occur anywhere, and you can't blame the poor people who happen to live there. We get that, but some people just don't, and I don't think we can ever convince them; unfortunately, they just don't have empathy for other human beings.
