NHC Track??

#1 Postby gk1 » Wed Aug 24, 2005 1:40 pm

What are they seeing that I can't?? Seems like the upper pattern is NE to SW across Florida Panhandle...with the clouds pattern turning back to the Northern Gulf Coast!! I just can't see Katrina heading toward Pensocola!!! Models and NHC both say that this is the area (for now) that she would go!!! Comments???

Breath in.....Breath out......good.......

LOL...Just kiddin....

The NHC track will only change at 5am....11am......5pm......11pm....(Cycle starts over again)

There have been quite a few model runs since the last NHC advisory, hence a difference in the models, and the NHC's official forecast.

The NHC's track will change, I promise...Heck it will change 15 more times the next few days...

Also in my opinion....When a model shift starts taking place, and a pattern developes, the NHC will start to conservatively change their track....Meaning if the models start showing a trend shifting WAY left, the NHC's forecast track will SLOWLY start to shift that direction...It keeps their forecasts from becoming erratic...

Very true, they dont like to shift there tracks HUGE at one time, it makes it seem as if they messed up big time.
