Initial Hurricane Watch and Time

#1 Postby TheShrimper » Tue Aug 23, 2005 8:03 pm

My best guess would be from the 7 Mile Bridge north to Deerfield Beach, issued at the 11 AM advisory Wednesday Aug 24.

Nah, if they put a watch up, it will be all the way to Ft. Pierce or Vero, and maybe include the entire Keys.

Maybe they will do an "Irene" and just leave TS watches and warnings.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who remembers that fiasco. :-)

Its not going anywhere fast i would say:
Tropical Storm Watch for East Cosat, from the Keys, to West Palm Beach at 5am EST.
With Hurricane Watches, and Tropical Storm Warnings for the Bahamas and S. Florida 5pm EST.

Imagine the panic that would occur. After last year people won't take chances. 90% of the population has no idea there is a system out there.

Yes... but later. Not when the East Coast watch goes out.

I say Hurricane Watch from Vero Beach through the Keys... maybe a TS watch for the northern portion of that(or farther north) or the Lower Keys...
