Ex TD 10 Regenerating?

#1 Postby Vortex » Sat Aug 20, 2005 3:47 pm

For the first time in days Hi-Res Vis imagery suggest an LLC with associated convection may/is forming about 100-125 miles NNW of Puerto Rico. This is the first "real" signs of life we have seen from X10. The coming hours should be interesting....

I see some turning, but I think it's still mid-level. I don't see any low-level clouds moving east just yet.

Could this be the beginning of the burst?? Watch how x10 and NW Caribbean develop over the next few days. I may be totally wrong but I think this is the beginning. There is just something about the configuration of each disturbance this afternoon. I am sure I will be slammed for my thoughts but hey...this is a message board and we all have a say.

Sorry, I don't even see any turning. The lower clouds are all moving SE-NW and the mid and upper clouds are going NW-se or wherever they want to go. Contrary to several posts I have seen including this one, I do not see any turning or any hints of redevelopment.

Actually the thunderstorm activity that was there earlier appears to me to be falling apart again. A sad sad day.

Remember we all must have humor as dwg71 points out. This is how we avoid flame wars. This has made Storm2k a solid and strong family of posters. Many of us from the old days of Lowes Storm 9x. This is a great place indeed.

I don't see much of concern at this point, as dwg pointed out, I think the attention should be shifting off of the remnant TD 10 and to the African wave just off the coast. That has MUCH more promise, IMO, of becoming something significant.

Yes. The Force is very strong with that wave off Africa.

I think we should tone down our interest in TD#10 some, but we should'nt ignore it.I personally will not start to focus on a system thousands of miles away, it may never threaten any land mass.

CLOUDINESS AND SHOWERS EXTENDING FROM THE BAHAMAS EASTWARD FOR SEVERAL HUNDRED MILES ARE ASSOCIATED WITH THE REMNANTS OF TROPICAL DEPRESSION TEN AND A WESTWARD MOVING TROPICAL WAVE. MOST OF THE SHOWER ACTIVITY IS NOW ASSOCIATED WITH THE WAVE AND IS CENTERED ABOUT 150 MILES NORTH OF PUERTO RICO. ALTHOUGH UPPER-LEVEL WINDS ARE FAVORABLE FOR SOME DEVELOPMENT...PRESSURES ARE NOT FALLING AND THERE ARE NO SIGNS OF SURFACE CIRCULATION. THIS ACTIVITY IS EXPECTED TO SPREAD WESTWARD DURING THE NEXT DAY OR TWO.

5:30 TWO...
