Any 007 fans here?

#1 Postby Skywatch_NC » Fri Aug 19, 2005 6:34 pm

I've watched a few in the past and now during August AMC is airing James Bond movies at 8 ET Monday through Friday! 8-)

One of my favorite character villains is Jaws played by 7' 2" giant of a man actor Richard Kiel! 8-) Tonight begins some of the movies starring him with "The Spy Who Loved Me"...one of my favorite scenes with Jaws is also tonight when his steel teeth meet up with a giant magnet hoist and he goes for a short ride over a shark tank before being released and free-falling into the water to take on the shark!!

Seems there's a trademark Persian cat in each episode and I think of Furluvcats Shannon when seeing the cat. :)

Do you have any particular favorite Bond movie(s) or movie scene(s)? 8-)

"Ah... Mr. Bond... it is not nice to keep a lady waiting."

I have my martini Eric, shaken, not stirred...

I love James Bond! I have all of the movies on tape and DVD.

My favorite movies are Tommorrow Never Dies, The World is Not Enough, and Her Majesty's Secret Service.

Matt,

I saw Her Majesty's Secret Service on Monday night and really enjoyed it, too!

From Russia with Love and Goldfinger are considered the best Bond films. Goldfinger has the female antagonist with the most unforgettable name-Pussy Galore. Jane Seymour got her break as Solataire in Live and Let Die. Years ago, I read the books from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice. The Persian Cat was the pet of Ernst Stavro Blofeld who was originally the head of S.P.E.C.T.R.E. and who killed Bond's wife in On Her Majesty's Secret Service. A list of the Bond movies I've seen (probably incomplete)
follows.
Dr. No
From Russia With Love
Goldfinger
Thunderball
On Her Majesty's Secret Service
You Only Live Twice
Diamonds Are Forever
The Spy Who Loved Me
Octopussy
For Your Eyes Only
A View to a Kill
Man With A Golden Gun
Goldeneye
Tomorrow Never Dies
The World Is Not Enough
Moonraker
Live and Let Die

Any of the ones filmed locally, well with a mile of here.

My favourite scene in a Bond film is the chase through London around the Dome. 8-)

I like most of them. I really like Pierce Brosnan. I hope he will make more Bond movies.

I thought they initally asked him to do the next film but have since changed their mind? Don't believe they have officially chosen the next Bond yet though.

I like Pierce Brosnan too, but Sean Connery will always be the only real James Bond to me.

He won't be in any more Bond movies, according to this article. :grrr:

A while back I thought I heard he was going to do one more.

I don't see how they can pick somebody else to do a Bond movie? Who else out there would be a good pick?

Sean Connery is the only Bond for me. Pierce Brosnan is a pale imitation.
