Like the rest of you I've been following x10 for days. For the first time this afternoon I think we have a system beginning to organize. The overall envelope looks much better and it will remain favorable for the next 3-5 days. I expect deep convection to fire over the MLC this evening/overnight and we should have TD 10 back by tommorrow afternoon. Based on the time of year, warmer SST annomalies(Bahamas/Florida) and the overall synoptic environment forecasted I'm leaning towards a 75-85kt storm near the central bahamas Monday night/Tuesday morning.....

Cat1 in the Bahamas? Wow that would be scary. Eventhough its a Cat1 it can still be scary I guess. I would not argue against you simply because the waters off the FL east coast are so darn warm. Our CBS4 news local met says the water temps right off the coast are pretty darn close to 90F. That is just insane and could fuel a tropical system big time.

Yeah. Things were really tough for you guys up there with Frances and Jeanne. I can only imagine how annoying it was for you to through that. The last hurricane South Florida went through was Irene in 1999. It was a cat 1 with 80mph winds I believe at landfall. Andrew yes I remember but Irene was the last hurricane for sure. But you guys went through 2 hurricanes so quickly. Ouch I would have chickened out a long time ago

91? Unbelievable. I work for the Town of Jupiter. Although we certainly haven't started emergency preparations yet, the are closely monitoring the storm and are prepared to go into emergency mode at any time.

A weak 45 knot T.S would be ok with me. As long as it brings some rain to cool us down here in FL Im all up for it.
