OFF TOPIC : Great Show on the Science

#1 Postby dgparent » Thu Aug 18, 2005 8:08 pm

Channel tonight about hurrincane prediction methods etc. Mostly guys from the Center talking about last years Florida storms, Charlie going from 2 to 4 in hours etc. Had some stuff from this year too so it must of been a fairly recent show.

The science channel I think you have to Directv to get it, maybe it is on Dishnetwork too.

I saw it. They interviewed Max Mayfield and other people who many of us probably know. The show was a little light on serious technical content. I think that the only term they actually defined was SST. They didn't get into modeling at all. The show had a lot of dramatic footage but didn't deliver what was promised. As a weather weenie, I thought I'd watch it and learn something. I didn't.
