Irene about to be killed...

#1 Postby Anonymous » Tue Aug 16, 2005 3:17 pm

Notice the shear coming in as it gets pushed off eastward. WOW...this thing is going to fall apart quick. They may upgrade to 85 kt at 5pm, although I think what will will see is "But since then, satellite shows westerly shear impacting..." and they will keep it at 75-80 kt.

Did anyone else notice that on Weather Underground they show part of her track as a Category 4 hurricane? Or have I just spent too much time at work and my eyes are playing tricks on me?

I finally got the site to come up and if you are referring to the change in color just before the end of the run i believe that it is showing a cat 2.

Yep, it's showing Cat 2, my mistake. I chalk it up to the glare of the sun on the monitor at a weird angle. Sorry...
