Kidney trouble?

#1 Postby streetsoldier » Tue Aug 16, 2005 6:35 am

I'm asking because my mid-lower back is in agony; especially after having eaten. This has been going on for a few weeks, but at present the pain is...uh..."acute".

Is this indicative of a kidney problem? An inquiring streetsoldier wants to know...

Sounds suspect Bill. Untill you can get to a doc, try cranberry juice to flush your kidneys out a bit. But please get it seen to if you can.

As a former "stonie" myself, I can tell you that the acute nature of kidney stones will take you to your knees like "right now!" You may have a kidney infection of some type and should have it checked out as soon as you can. Meanwhile fluids...as much as you can drink!

Good luck with it Bill!

My Ob-Gyn told me one time that the closest a man ever comes to feeling what it is like for a woman in labor, is to pass a kidney stone. Get to a doctor. Think I read somewhere that there is technology now which allows them to "zap" a stone into dust so it is easier to pass.

I had a nurse tell me she had kids and kidney stones and she rather go though labor pains than to go though the pains associated with stones...
