I agree it still has a closed well defined LLC. In with the redevelopment of convection. It would not take along time to redevelop into a tropical depression.

It for sure has re-developed some convection and T-Numbers from SAB are back up to 1.0, which is similar to what it was 18 hours before an upgrade to Tropical Depression status yesterday.

It will still be a a few days before we see any type of re-development, if any, since the shear is still there and is not going anywhere anytime soon. The LLC is very weak and more shear will only weaken it more...

Why wasn't this under the main thread?

LLC may not be the strongest. But its still stronger then the one Irene had for about 2 days.

Because the main thread is locked.

Yup, I noted the flare up too. Similiar to Irene. You want to write TD-10 off but then again tomorrow is August 15. Can't let our guard down. Gotta keep one eye open on it.

IF there was any during those 2 days...but that's another topic.

The system would have to move north of 20N, west of 50W for shear to become less of a concern. Until then, it will have to fight for its life to survive this hostile environment.

Watch the wave about to move off Africa. That could be more of a story during the next couple of days, than ex-TD #10...
