Eastern Atlantic Tropical Summary - EATS OUT On August 14, 2005

<img src="http://www.diamondheadweather.com/eats20050814.jpg">

The Eastern Atlantic is not as dry as it has been for the last 3-4 weeks.
A large pocket of moisture associated with the wave near 30 West
has mixed in with the ultra dry air in the region.

TD 10's remnants are covered in the WATS UP report.

A new wave has emerged off the African coast and has a nice presentation
to it. With the lower latitude, it will be able to traverse westward through
the moist ITCZ and will have favorable conditions for development
over the next few days.

Its nice to see that the dry air is not so widespread like it was. Maybe this next wave will have a better chance.

That wave could be a TD by 45W because of that sacrificial wave that killed off the SAL. We could start to get going here.

That dry air is not that bad.... I have seen plenty of big hurricanes form in worse conditions out there... Its not the dry air as much as the shear...
