Josh has written PH. D. caliber papers on tropical systems. He’s one of the smartest chasers out there. But definitely the “do not try this at home” mantra applies.
Josh's work on Haiyan, one of the strongest storms ever, made me follow him. It was our country's worst storm ever --- killing over 10k and inflicting at least $10b of economic damage. The communities in Tacloban and Palo remember him and he's been able to help them: especially with those videos rescuing people during Haiyan's surge and talks on the data he had gathered.
