SSMIS pass about 3 hours old showed a solid mid level eyewall.

Looks like it’s ingested some dry air since then, but going by vis, that structure still seems to be intact. Should see continued strengthening today.

According to Best Track and advisories, Cindy formed at 40.5W (though it might be revised in reanalysis) and became a TS at 44.5W.

This is the second easternmost MDR TS in June, only behind Bret (41.4W). It's the third easternmost MDR TD in June, behind TD2 2000 (19.8W) and Bret (40.3W).

Is a very small storm in area that is subject to sudden changes in the enviroment but regardless of what occurs in the next few days, it has made history.

Welp, so much for that. Naked swirl alert. Still has some time to rebound but shear is getting to it for now, we’ll see

The path that Cindy will be taking seems unusual for this time of year. Usually the Bermuda high is strong as ever, but based on how wet our weather has been here in Bermuda the past month I guess that’s not the case.

I am only a tropical weather enthusiast. My predictions are not official and may or may not be backed by sound meteorological data. For official information, please refer to the NHC and NWS products.

Cindy showing a little bit of convection firing tonight but all the models seem to see her pretty much dissipating by 72 hours. Two early season tropical storms that weren't too dangerous.

The duality of s2k.

Convection is popping up like crazy again. Perhaps Cindy could get a little stronger before shear increases later this weekend, which would raise its odds of strengthening in the subtropics in 5-6 days.

I am only a meteorology enthusiast who knows a decent amount about tropical cyclones. Look to the professional mets, the NHC, or your local weather office for the best information.
