Do you think it will landfall at hurricane intensity? I'd be surprised if it does and i suspect a lot of people don't believe it will either. It's still an interesting system and certainly poses risks. I am definitely tuned in with interest.

Wall to wall coverage for two days now on the TWC. They know with that massive population especially NYC eyeballs is a gold mine.I could only imagine if it was a Cat 2 they would put out a Weather Channel part 2. Between Fred that could have possibly hit South Fla you have 2 of the most populated counties and states that is big $$$$.

Not surprised that NHC shifted the track east of Long Island to Block Island. Their track is still west of consensus. More squalls around its core now, but it is moving over cooler and cooler water from here forward.

How is Martha’s Vineyard not under a Hurricane Warning? Wow that track is threading a needle.

not as dark on the IR as a few hours ago but the center looks much better organized and you can see banding starting to develop

anyone have the water temp map of the max hurricane that region can maintain? can it get to a cat 2 up there?

He's so desperate for it to reach category 2 status so his forecast can be right lol. I don't really see it getting any stronger than this. Can it maintain its strength before landfall? Yeah definitely. But that cooler water will start to effect it sooner or later.

Tower right over the CoC firing right now. Northwestern eyewall is looking pretty healthty on radar.

Looking better on IR now. What an odd-looking storm... Hopefully everyone in the path of this thing stays safe with little damage.

I am in no way a professional. Take what I say with a grain of salt as I could be totally wrong. Please refer to the NHC, NWS, or SPC for official information.

Maybe just a wobble as it's tightening up but seems to be taking on more of a NNW move now

Now the million dollar question is how much more of the component will pull it further, Just interesting to me, like you said thats a hard jog if you watch it on larger frames as opposed to a basic 12/24
