New York City is under a Tropical Storm Warning now, as of the 11PM advisory.

This is going to be worse than my namesake, Belle in 1976, for Suffolk County.

Henri’s 11pm track is right over my house at 8pm Sunday. This is going to suck…

I am only a meteorology enthusiast who knows a decent amount about tropical cyclones. Look to the professional mets, the NHC, or your local weather office for the best information.

Center looks like it's nearing the edge of the cirrus canopy again.

Recon found that it actually tugged eastward in the last hour, probably moving into the convection more.

Looks as though it’s getting under the convection, may be looking at a strengthening hurricane sometime tomorrow

Are we not ruling out a major hurricane? When the MLC and LLC get tugged together the ceiling will be high for intensification, and it's got a few more days left till it touches land.

Henri is still highly sheared, its LLC displaced NW of its MLC. Henri only has another day at most over the Gulf Stream before entering cooler waters.

It's not expected to strengthen until Sunday anyways, so it's doing exactly as it's forecasted to....
