Re: ATL: SALLY - Tropical Storm - Discussion
I think a Cat 2+ is now firmly back on the table, due to that explosive hot tower (it’s so large it should be called a hot fortress) and how the models have pushed back landfall time quite a lot. It’s possible Sally could remain in the Gulf for another 36-48 hours!

I am only a meteorology enthusiast who knows a decent amount about tropical cyclones. Look to the professional mets, the NHC, or your local weather office for the best information.

Still a good bit of shear hitting it, notice how to COD doesn’t expand much on the western side of the storm. It would have to continue to blow up to fight it off. Which is possible.

Might be an illusion but it looks like an eye might be trying to pop out.

And the center has relocated to The northeast under the intense convection.

Based on where the HH is headed, looks like Sally took a wobble to the northeast.

Definitely a relocation, not a wobble.

Sally is really taking off, really didn't expect it to do so well considering how it looked ~6 hours ago. Not that it looked bad, but I didn't expect it to look this good now.
