That low level swirl isn’t the true center. It appears to be on a circular cyclonic loop around the actual center of circulation. Still should move northward toward Grand Isle.

Just got home from recon mission in Pass Christian.....surge has topped the seawall and has flooded Hwy 90 in low lying sections. Both lanes were flooded at Henderson and 90, we turned around there.

Not much wind at the house, we are two blocks inland but along the beach it is blowing but below TS force. Intermittent rain showers accompanied by gusty winds.

Cristobal has slowed this afternoon. Very large COC with embedded eddies rotating around the mean center.

At least two areas of HWY 90 in Biloxi have water over the highway, the Miramar Ave section of town and now down at Point Cadet on the east end of town by the Biloxi bridge. Per DOT all of Hwy 90 is now closed because of surge/flooding issues. Surge has over performed with this system.. definitely greater than 5 feet... maybe 6 or even 7 feet in my locale.. reports of pier damage also noted near the Lighhouse... I suspect before this system lifts out many piers will be damaged.. takes 8 feet of surge to get to the base of sea wall in front of my house and it’s getting pretty close...tide data for Waveland is approaching 7 feet... I was pretty close!

2 landfalls. Often when a storm hits the mouth it ends up hitting the MS Coast. This one is going the other way. Solid 20-25mph here and moderate rain though not enough to flood.

CoC (not that LLC circulating around the larger circulation) should continue moving north towards Nola or just west of them with a NNW heading as it starts bumping into the ridge to the north of it.

Banding continues to improve as Cristobal makes its final approach to the southern Louisiana coast. A little late though.

Highest gusts I saw was 64 mph, recorded on a oil platform. Said platform also recorded sustained winds right around 55mph.

I see no evidence of any other vorts. So this motion is likely from the convection that has been building to the NE.

Rottsa ruck over in Biloxi and Gulfport, but how's Waveland and Clermont Harbor doing?

Finally getting another feeder band here in the Panhandle ( across bay from Destin), but nothing to write home to Momma about. Sat on the bay for an hour and saw 25 to 30 mph wind and whitecaps. Water finally coming up foot or so now that the wind has shifted more to the south. However, nothing like the usual large TS that pushes the water up the coast for a day or two before arriving.

I like NDG's statement, but I will modify it to fit reality.

Land friction is definitely helping some with convection.. could end up bringing down some of those higher winds.
