Apparently Sally is maybe starting to almost stall.
Either a turn to the west as forecasted or east as suggested could be decided soon.

Say what you want about Sally's center and internal structure, but she's been killing it today with outflow as the ULL backs away.

I am only a meteorology enthusiast who knows a decent amount about tropical cyclones. Look to the professional mets, the NHC, or your local weather office for the best information.

Anyone know if Gonzo or Miss Piggy or any of the NOAA planes are flying to sample the environment around Sally?

We just had our our first bit of rain and thunder associated with that band-like feature along the coast. At this point I guess it's about time to turn the freezer down to absolute zero and round up the garbage can and yard furniture.

Finally, the CoC is within a burst of convection.

Gonzo has been up this afternoon/evening doing a research mission sampling the atmosphere. That data should make it into the 00Z runs.

Sally looks like a heap of garbage at the moment. Still time left.

We are off Hillcrest and the power flickered but was right back on.. thank goodness! It’s too early to lose power now! As much as I dont want it here in Mobile, my heart was breaking for the people in Louisiana to have to go through another storm. So now I’m hoping it takes too long to get it’s act together and stays fairly weak. We could use the rain, but as someone else said, we haven’t done anything to prep..

Lightning right over the CoC now. RI is imminent, but it needs to tighten up that SW wind field first.

There a couple of posts definitively stating that RI is imminent. I see nothing to indicate RI beginning or imminent. Please try to state why you think RI is about to commence besides a few hot towers popping off. She may be ready to go off but I’d like to see some reasoning. Otherwise stating that RI is about to happen Is irresponsible and frankly falls into fear mongering
Just my 2 cents
