Man, this is such a mess. I thought for sure I’d at least get a couple inches of rain from this here in southeast TX.

Shear should die off pretty soon, shouldn’t be an issue.

Lol. As crazy as it sounds, I think even the Panhandle of FL could still be impacted by Marco. This is the craziest stuff.
It could also still hit Western Louisiana.

Outflow boundary shot out to the NW.
The effect of mixing in the stable air I mentioned that is to the NE.
See how he does in a few more hours as the Yucatan is fixin to fire off popups and the low CAPE pocket gets slowly taken out by convection and WISHE.

No surviving that. Marco will probably peak quite soon unless it moves northeast.

Theta-E ridge building NE BoC.
Need to watch how deep that pushes into the GoM and how well Marco can track into it.

Colors of lost purpose on the canvas of irrelevance
Not a meteorologist, in fact more of an idiot than anything. You should probably check with the NHC or a local NWS office for official information.

Re: ATL: MARCO - Tropical Storm - Discussion
Anticyclone has moved SW of the CoC.
Shear seems to be retreating to the north a bit, keeping about the same pace as Marco moving to the north for the past 3 hours or so.
Would be interesting if the Anticyclone keeps rotating CW around Marco and gets to the West and then NW.

The apparent drift to the NE is more likely shear starting to hit the system and tilting NE IMO. MLC will also be moving NE as it starts to tilt with height. Can't wait for recon!

Marco looks like a June slop fest headed for the big bend. Not suggesting that's going to happen but it does have that look. we have been under a pall of overcast and rain for days here on the west coast of fl. it's been nice to catch up on needed rainfall and break the heat..

Yep. In 24 hours in computer model land, Texas went from a potential Double Tropical Whammy to the Nada Enchilada.

Re: ATL: MARCO - Tropical Storm - Discussion
Convection over the IoT and south of the MS Delta could tighten up the ARWB.
Deep convection over Yucatan would likely get the Anticyclone to move west of the CoC.

A little rest, refill the jug with high OHC water and Marco maybe ready for the 2nd set of heavy lifting.
10 lbs more on all machines and free weights.
3500 CAPE now to the E and S.
See what happens.
