Yeah I agree. I just edited my post to account for the rapid organization Lorenzo appears to be undergoing right now. He is quite the tropical cyclone!! He is really going to be an extremely large and powerful one that is for sure!!

Advisory is out at 70 mph. Will have to wait to tomorrow for the upgrade! I guess I’m kinda excited about a major hurricane in the middle of nowhere! It’s been too long since we had one of those!

Probably the most -80ºC tops I've seen in the NAtl in a while.

I would not be surprised that Lorenzo ends up being a Category 4 or 5 hurricane.

I'd say the ceiling for this is probably a cat 5.

Absolutely headed for category four in a couple days. This is coming together scary fast tonight. At least this one isn't pointed toward land like the absurd number of recent ones have been.

Not a meteorologist, in fact more of an idiot than anything. You should probably check with the NHC or a local NWS office for official information.

I wonder if this could be stronger than Dorian. Even when it doesn't seem like that, a category 5 its still a real possibility

Like I stated a while back, we've already seen the strongest hurricane for this season in Dorian. Getting to Cat5 is hard enough. Getting well into Cat5 territory like Dorian did is very rare. I think Lorenzo will peak around 145 mph.

Looks like Lorenzo has been upgraded to hurricane status. He is well on its way to becoming the third major of this season.

I think Lorenzo will not get to 180 mph level like Dorian. But, I think there is a slight, remote chance he can challenge to attain Cat 5, which would be mind blowing nonetheless.

He will definitely be a top ended solid Cat 4 without question!!

Yep, and considering where this is developing compared to Dorian is very hard to achieve that, Dorian is clearly the strongest one of this season on intensity and treatening to land, but anyway I like to be optimistic with fishing cyclones , why we can´t have tons of powerful sea hurricanes bringing a lot of ACE without making damage to land and atchieve records   , I think this is how ATL works, that's why I prefer watching EPAC cyclones even when this season has been a really dissapoint
