At the moment, it's hard to imagine the tail end of this band going that route. It has a more SW component than the one that inundated Beaumont this morning. I expect the tail end of this train of storms to travel SW through Port Arthur and then circle around through Lake Charles, with Orange, TX missing the constant heavy rain and thunderstorms associated with the band.

I pm'd her and heard yet. That is so bad. She just got finished with her house from the last time.

The road out of her neighborhood is flooded so they can’t leave. I’m able to text her. She is ok for now but stuck.

Imelda's going to end up needing to be retired if this level of rainfall continues. Worst flooding event in SE Texas since Harvey for sure.

Looks like the eastern end of the line has finally begun moving. The western end is a little more entrenched, but maybe daytime heating can encourage outflow/gust fronts to begin propagating the storms away from where they've been stationary for so long.

Imelda has officially weakened to a remnant low in the 11 am WPC advisory. Not that that means anything. lol

They mention total storm totals of 30 - 40 inches in some places. :double:

Well you are sure getting your rain Jasons! Albeit a lot at a time, but this is Texas after all. Terrible what is going on N and NE of Houston all the way to Beaumont. Prayers to everyone dealing with this and stay safe everyone!

I haven't had much rain in Ft Bend County but it looks like I may get some before the day is over.

looks like nothings changed, expect the unexpected. More Heavy rainfall for SETX continues, were catching a break right now.. but I am thinking we'll get another band dropping 10-15 more inches of rain

Gravity waves increasing in the feeder band.
Very buoyant air, a sign of extreme instability.

Big increase of Theta-E in the Feeder Band.
Appears this will get worse before getting better.
