Looks like Oscar missed its chance to become a major. Winds now down to 85kts. (100mph)

Yea, shear really kicked up a few notches and prevented Oscar from becoming our 3rd major of the season.

My posts are my own personal opinion, defer to the National Hurricane Center (NHC) and other NOAA products for decision making during hurricane season.

It's down to a cat 1 (85mph) and picking up speed on its way out. Gonna try and take advantage of its waves now before it's gone for good.

The NHC being humorous for Halloween on what is likely the second to last advisory on Oscar in my opinion. :lol:

Farewell, Oscar. Could this be the end of the 2018 Atlantic hurricane season? It certainly could be. On to Patty...or if it doesn't form, Andrea next late spring/summer.

Couldn't quite make it to November. I feel this might be the final storm of the season but you always can't rule out another Mid-Atlantic storm to form.

Can't also rule out something moving into Central America from the Western Caribbean a lot like Otto from two years ago.
