Looking better this morning than last night, the LLC is much closer to the convection. Nice SW inflow. LLC is just a few miles ENE from Barbados, too bad their radar is down this morning.

Radar issue is a bone of contention between us weather geeks and the previous Government. The radar was a gift from the EU and the previous Government neglected to keep it maintained. This new administration seems to want it fixed as soon as possible though so hopefully by next years hurricane season we can have it back up.

Not much wind on the south side of the circulation for Barbados but if Kirk has slowed down there may be local rain issues. Sounds like the island governments have issued serious warnings with the schools closed for the day, so we won't read about any school buses getting caught in mud slides. Hope there isn't a stall before the "wall of shear".

LLC is a little further east than what the recon/NHC thought, pressure is lower than last night.

Looking at IR, appears the hot spot is between where the two hot towers fired off
Estimating it to be 13.6N 57.6W
Recon is flying at 5000 ft
Found extrap surface pressure of 997.5mb at 13.617N 58.583W
Upper-Level Core displaced east of the Surface CoC.

By the flight path, the recon's crew thought the LLC was further west than where they found it.

Not surprising that the circulation is very tilted but the LLC is much closer to the deep convection than what it was last night.

Fairly strong rain free SW wind inflow into the storms just east of the LLC.

No question that Barbados will see TS force winds after the LLC passes to their west.

Cover your eyes as his center is on the verge of going naked. For the first time, I can see the LLC partially peaking out just to the west of the western wall of the high level convective clouds. Anyone else see it? Center looks like it is near 13.8N, 58.9W moving WNW or maybe even NW.

Looks stationary unless shear is blowing everything off to the east

Yes, half of its circulation is naked, been like that since last night.

63 knot flight level winds the strongest it has found so far, over the NE quadrant.

Talking about perfect timing by the recon, Kirk got stronger this morning one last time before starting to go completely naked as the morning has gone and start weakening again over the next few hours.
