You still doing ok, nutkin?

I'm feeling better since there's a little break in the heavy rain and they're saying it'll get better after midnight. As long as my ditch keeps draining, I'll be ok.

My brother got water in his house in North Vidor. My parents in South Vidor are still ok. My dad was able to get far enough earlier to get my mom's insulin.

Good news, but just keep on top of it, and check in when you can.
Sorry about your brothers home.

Almost everyone I know in Vidor has water in their homes including my parents. It had started to recede some, but I'm afraid it will rise again during the night.

Hope this somehow pulls out quickly. Looks absolutely terrifying watching the radar.

My parents would have water, I'm sure, but are on piers. My sister's neighborhood that floods badly is only flooded in the streets, as of this afternoon.

The bad thing is that they're saying once the wind gets to 45 mph they cannot do anymore water rescues. They're saying to go on your roof and turn off your breakers with a wooden broom handle.

Looks like an MCV has developed in Jefferson County, further focusing heavy rains there. Not good.

Thanks for asking - yes, my house is fine. No flooding and we still have power. Our neighborhood was very fortunate - I'm on a small ridge so relatively safe compared to surrounding areas.

Southerngale is safe but not doing so well. Her house and car were flooded. Her neighborhood is flooded-in so a long night ahead for her.

Where did you get this information? I'm really close and we've heard nothing on this.
