Yeah people should not underestimate Katia, its not going to get much attention but I could easily see this peak as a 2/3 into Mexico. History shows us these storms coming in this part of the BoC often over perform!

I'd put the odds of Katia and Jose being majors pretty high, they're both in environments more than good enough to harbor major hurricanes.

I'm sure they will issue them at next advisory, but why aren't there already some TS watches at least? It seems like with its proximity to land, they'd at least rather be safe than sorry.
