A lot of inner dynamics happening. but yeah, the intermittent clearing spots are signs the core has increased its temp. the surrounding convection is dropping the pressure likely quite quickly now.

Franklin looks like he is really starting to wrap up. Hopefully it is on land before it can get very strong. This wave looked pretty bad when it was in the Eastern Caribbean and now look at it. Pretty amazing how quickly things can change.
