Pretty crazy here right now...wind is howling, worst still an hour away but we are taking a beating now for like 12 hours

WFTV said this is the biggest power outage in history. I don't know if Martha meant in Us or in Florida. So far I have power in port orange.

It's getting really bad in Orlando. Reminds me of Wilma in Miami when I was down there.

I'm just burnt out, and hubby says he doesn't want a heads up on bands. he wants to just get it over with and let what happens happen. We're well prepared, but hoping for no downed trees on our cars.

I'm in Largo, Fl and our patio screen has blown out, fences and trees are down. As well as a light pole we had bolted into the ground by our pool has completely blown over. Almost over hopefully!

Peaking or near peaking in terms of wind for Orlando right now. It's so loud and terrifying outside. All you can hear are trees snapping every time it gusts.

I'm really scared, this is my first real experience with anything like this. I had no idea what to expect, I don't have trees around but I'm scared my house is just going to fall apart. WGV St. Augustine

This is a crazy storm, the wind is non stopping, every time I fall asleep the winds and noises outside wake me up.
All kind of trees and fences down in my neighborhood, per all the notices I've been getting from area neighbors through nextdoor.com, a couple of portions of my fence are also down. Luckily my power is still on but most of friends and family members here in Orlando their power went out long ago.

A co-worker of mine decided to stay at their house in New Smyrna Beach since the track had shifted to the West Coast, she just sent a video of water getting into her house from surge coming in, they did not flood during Matthew last year.

Tom terry and the wftv guys are showing the center basically falling apart and instead creating this huge squall line, super cool that would be even cooler if it wasn't just a few minutes away!

Yes and hubby outside, gotta keep cleaning debris from the sump pump to keep it pumping. We are flooding pretty bad. Anxiety from him being out there sucks, almost done with the worst of it I think. Thank god. Drank me a Red Bull and ready for another hour or so.

I am on a boat in St. Augustine and we are experiencing a very heavy squall. Probably hurricane gusts and incredible rain. The worst we have had so far. Once it lets up a little, I will go out side and check out my lines.

Been watching them for the past few hours and they're doing a fantastic job of explaining a very confusing, difficult and dangerous situation. The whole "Wall of Wind" concept for that major squall line is awesome. They're telling people what to expect and when to expect it. I wish he was in SE FL for us....

The south side of the storm is mostly dry as of now. Hang in there, better times are coming soon!

Tampa still shows negative surge:

Naples seems to leveled holding below the peak earlier today. Fort Myers still rising was about 1 foot and hour past 4 hours last I checked.
