Pinellas county has had some spotty power outages from the squalls bringing down dead wood but otherwise really no wind issues.

If there is a storm surge problem in Tampa bay it should be happening now close to high tide at 2:41 PM

Worse yet to come or is this it?

Well considering they just issued the Warning and the strongest winds have been to the south and east of the storm I would say they would continue to pick up at least a little.

Just looks like based on path of energy, its all racing northward sun will be out in Tampa at 5:00pm.

Those idiots will be the ones putting someone ELSE's life on the line when that camper floats out into a raging storm.

Yup. First responders will always follow their obligation to the protection of life, even if it is the result of stupid descisions. Hoping FL police and fire and medical stay safe out there.

maybe it floats

They do the outbound legs until they find the edge of TS force winds and then turn to start next leg.

I don't see any hint of westward movement. Looks NE right now. Recon will give us new coordinates within the half hour.

In all honesty, they should and could have done it ealry this morning based on recon and buoys.
