It's actually further W than 18Z. Just looks E because it is slower.

Was just slower through 114 hrs since it was SE of 18z and 18z was on NW heading. Now it is due south at 120 hrs of the 18z position at that time so it would now be to the left of the 18z track IMO

Wow.. that run looks kinda like what David did in 79.. I was one years old but I remember my parents telling me just how close it got.

Depending on the size of the eye this would cause TS conditions across the peninsula and maybe Hurricane force winds near the coast so anymore west shifts would be really bad
