Suere is. Not often you see an eyewall like that for such a 'weak' storm. It's REALLY getting its act together. Still has a few more hours over water.

Would have been interesting to see what Bill could've become with another 24-48 hours over these warm gulf waters. Last few frames of IR certainly show an increased blow up of convection (during d-min at that) and he is gaining in size.

Pretty tight pressure gradient all within about 50 miles of the center.
The high winds are only going to affect a narrow swath northeast of landfall.
Bill was beginning to pick up some moisture another 24 hours over water and he would have been a major PITA!

Re: ATL: BILL - Tropical Storm - Discussion
Just keep Bill far enough west of Houston until after 12:30pm. I'm still stuck at the airport in Chicago. Been here 19 hrs now.
Bill seems to be behaving himself. Should be inland in a ffew hours.

Clear Lake/Houston getting our strongest bands of rain so far. Houston news is showing Seawall Blvd in Galveston. Very heavy rain and wind but the waves aren't breaking seawall...yet. Harris County Flood Warning System has a great website to track rainfall amounts countywide - http://www.harriscountyfws.org/
