Seems like another wave of rain will be coming in about an hour or 2. The backyard looks like a pool lol.

Glad to see you guys is SFLA getting some rain. Lived down there 10 years and I never seen it so dry.
It's supposed to spread up this way in north central Florida today so hopefully we get in on some of the storms.
Hoping for some regeneration today. :D

At the 8 am advisory. The nhc said it's not organizing now but did say shear should drop off in the next day.or 2 and still could organize.

Looking at the latest floater, it does appear there is some spin just a little west of Key West with convection building in the vicinity, looks to be moving north. Obviously nothing organized and the invest will likely run out of time before it can get going. Still plenty of deep moisture funneling in over Florida between the trough to the NW and the ridge to the east. We have been getting rain off and on all night in Boca Raton with thunder as well. Winds are gusting here and there into the mid 20mph range as well, but obviously nothing like what it could have been.

You can see Ex-Erika's center remnants nw of the keys in the Gulf on this really long Florida radar loop (easier to spot if you speed it up. http://flhurricane.com/imageanimator.php?179

Discussion from Melbourne NWS made me laugh this morning while having my coffee.

MON-TUE...WET PATTERN LIKELY TO CONTINUE FOR MON AS REMNANT LOW
PRESSURE TROUGH FROM WHAT WAS ERIKA TRANSITIONS TO THE E GULF OF
MEXICO WHILE SEARCHING FOR DIRECTION AND PURPOSE. THERE DOES REMAIN
SOME VERY MODEST OPPORTUNITY FOR REGENERATION...BUT MUCH WOULD
DEPEND UPON THE UPPER WINDS AND FORTUNE
. EVEN SO...ANOMALOUSLY
HIGH PWATS (EVEN FOR AUG/SEP) ARE THE LOCAL CONCERN AS THE
POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING RAIN CONTINUES WITH THE TROPICAL MOISTURE
PLUME PULLED N. CHANCE FOR HIGHER TOTALS SKEWED TOWARD THE W
PENINSULA CLOSER TO FEATURE...BUT SIMPLY CANNOT DOWNPLAY THREAT IN
THE PRESENCE OF 2.3 INCHES OF PWAT.

Big mass of convection headed toward Miami from offshore. Should be there in the next 60 minutes.

Erika's remnants are moving into the jet core over the eastern Gulf & Florida. No regeneration there.

Another look from the WU radar for storms approaching Dade County. Look at all the lightning strikes! Holy Cow. Click on lightning box below radar image.

Key West radar also shows the broad spin just west of Key West:

http://radar.weather.gov/radar_lite.php ... R&loop=yes

Looks like whatever LLC is remaining might be about 50 miles WSW of Key West. Radar imagery is showing deep thunderstorms in the vicinity of the LLC building and they look to be trying to converge

There is no LLC remaining. Those appear to be nothing but small eddies produced by former collapsing storms. I can see lots of them on radar, 2 north of the eastern tip of Cuba, several south of Miami, etc....

Yep. It was an all night show....constant lightning, thunder, and heavy rain here in southwest broward county. Cloudy and quiet right now, but expect we'll see some thunderstorms off an on through the day.
