I think recon will find 996 pressure with 60mph winds, but thats at best, in reality I expect it to be 999 and 50mph

Not at all like Debby. Debby sat and pounded the west coast. Andrea will be moving right along. Less time for fetch to build.

Well, I was thinking more along the lines of current location, appearance, and intensity.

Clearly tornadic "debris" over water doesn't lower the correlation coefficient anywhere close to as much as those over land

In for just a second Artist,, grabbed this shot of the warning on the keys....2 possible water spouts in picture - green triangle is a hail marker, pink box = tornado warning until 1145 edt

Yeah. that's not a "debris ball" at the end of the hook echo. Maybe a "water ball"? lol

Good ole George Winterling has spoken, yes I am old school and listen to what George says over the other local mets.
2 days of good rain, possible flooding and sporadic tornadoes.
He's pretty much just posting a quick blurb on his blog, nothing more.

TS Andrea briefing from NWS JAX

Seriously, rain, slight wind, crappy drive home tomorrow. I think I can skip taking my son to swim team practice tomorrow, and mowing my back yard is going to be a craptastic event for saturday lol...

My main concern is the heavier rains we've had the past week in my neck of the woods combined with the rain from Andrea. Should make for some minor flooding issues at the very least.

Looking at radar reflectivities, it seems that Andrea may have strengthened? Seeing areas of 60 kt or so at 10,000 feet on the Key West radar in the strongest bands.

Its a good thing there is all of that dry air in the gulf or we would be in way worse shape for flooding. 2-4 inches on wet ground will still be a mess!
