slowly coming together... weak broad rotation evident nothing defined at all. wont be too much longer. should see a large burst of convection soon which maybe get the surface circ on its way.

Re: ATL: INVEST 91L - Models
As usual the GFS and Euro really differ on the most recent runs. The GFS doesn’t think much of it at all. Looks like it dissipates it just off the SC coast. Euro on the other hand has gales just off or near coast of NC in 96. Euro has it really flying, nearing Tallahassee in 96, Hatteras in 120 and Nova Scotia in 144. It’s hard to book a flight that will get you between those cities that fast.
We'll see who is right.

Agree Aric...its getting the look..I know real scientific, lol. Starting to get some convective inflow from the SE. Low is broad and looks elongated SW-NE jist north of the Yuc. It isn't moving so if it sits there for the next 48 hrs, then I think the chances of it developing are better than 50-50.

MCS continues to walk north along the coast with some overshooting tops.
Nice drop in shear last 6 hrs. That MCS to the SE seems to be doing the trick.

Cloud tops warming on the MCS, but more importantly, rain rate is increasing.

Invest 91L definitely looks like a Tropical Depression right now. Just an opinion

Re: ATL: INVEST 91L
Definitely has the look of a disorganized mess. I can see at least 3 small rotations moving in different directions, indicating a broad area of low pressure without any focus. I see the 12Z GFS takes a weak low across the FL Peninsula Thursday night/Friday morning. Looks reasonable.

The only thing it appears to be missing for the upgrade is a well-defined low-level circulation and organized convection.

Eh, I'm sure we can fudge the paperwork.

Re: ATL: INVEST 91L
Just our luck...we're baking up here in the Panhandle...not even an inch of rain the whole month of May and now this mess, whatever it becomes, is going to have all the precip well to our east...I guess I'll have to resort to watering the lawn with sweat and tears.
