Thank goodness it's likely to landfall north of me... :D

What are you basing this information off of. I'm not seeing anything close to a surface circulation.
sat radar and surface ibs pointing towards a weak low off vero beach area though its elongated north to south
Yes, when looking at visible sat it looks like some kind of rotation there.
Super disorganized though, all the heavy convection is to the south of the swirl. Low chance this develops IMO.

not only the shear, but a nice tongue of dry air as slipped through our area and will soon affect the system as well. Time is running out quickly for 91L to develop.

NEVER, EVER SAY NEVER in the tropics and weather in general, and most importantly, with life itself!!

there are surface obs to support a weak circ... also convection beginning to increase quick with this feature .. seen marked increase in just the last hour near the center

It's the cusp of the season. Usually a struggler appears and then the real action follows.

This one is trying to form over the Gulf Stream but is battling lingering hostile conditions.

Looking at the steering currents, it seems to me this Dorian remnant is in somewhat of a col region. I guess it could easily get picked up and accelerate to the N and NNE as projected. But what if it just kind of stalls in the current area? Is that possible? Certainly seems that the surface low feature that appears to be sitting off the coast of Vero Beach has stalled its northward movement the last few hours

Dorian has overstayed it's welcome. Do something or take a ride on the westerlies and get out of here. :)

Yep. Host appears to be having issues, up and down all morning. Let's hope it's ended.

May be seeing multiple vortices here. The one east of St. Lucie county and a more convective one just west of Grand Bahama Island. This may become the dominant feature.

Or the midlevel is south of the LLC due to shear. Not sure.

Dorian looking far better today than it did the last few days that it was a tropical storm, the next TWO will certainly be interesting.

Looks like we are back up and running . . . YES

Latest shear analysis shows shear down to 10 or less for the moment.

Whichever it be, llc or mlc, convection is filling in nicely.
